What this bill does

Under current law, a person may claim an income and franchise tax credit for

10 percent of the amount that the person paid in the taxable year for dairy

manufacturing modernization and expansion related to the person's dairy

manufacturing operation. This bill provides an income and franchise tax credit for

10 percent of the amount that a person pays in the taxable year for meat processing

modernization or expansion related to the person's meat processing operation.
