What this bill does

Plain-language analysis by the nonpartisan Legislative Reference Bureau

Current law requires that any vehicle entering any state park or certain other

properties under the jurisdiction of the Department of Natural Resources (DNR)

display a vehicle admission receipt or sticker. Fees for these stickers are established

by statute, with a higher fee for stickers issued for out-of-state vehicles. For a motor

vehicle, the driver may be issued an annual or a daily sticker upon payment of the

fee. Under current law, DNR issues daily stickers for buses, but may not issue

annual stickers. This bill requires DNR to issue annual stickers for buses from

Wisconsin and from other states and sets fees for these stickers.
