Under current law, the state may not pay more than one-half of the costs in excess of the federal government's share of an airport improvement project that involves federal aid. Additionally, the state's aid may not include more than $500,000 for the cost of a building project or building improvement project and may not include any part of the cost of hangars. Under this bill, state aid for an airport improvement project involving federal aid may include the cost of hangars and up to $2,000,000 for the cost of a building project or building improvement project.
