What this bill does
Plain-language analysis by the nonpartisan Legislative Reference Bureau
The conservation congress is a statewide independent organization of citizens
that serves the Natural Resources Board (board) in an advisory capacity on all
matters under the jurisdiction of the board, such as those concerning hunting and
fishing, conservation, and the environment.
Under this bill, the board may not accept the results of a vote on an advisory
question presented during any spring county meeting of the conservation congress
if, at that county meeting, persons who were not Wisconsin residents were allowed
to vote on the advisory question or to vote for delegates to the conservation congress.
