This bill requires the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation to develop and implement a program under which private employers will employ at least 10,000 individuals in southeast Wisconsin. The program must include a focus on employing individuals who are Black, Hispanic, Eskimo, Aleut, native Hawaiian, Asian-Indian, or of Asian-Pacific origin. Under this bill, the initial 10,000 individuals must be employed under the program by December 1, 2012.
