What this bill does

Plain-language analysis by the nonpartisan Legislative Reference Bureau

This bill provides that, before nominating or appointing any person to a position

in state government, the governor must post on the Internet Web site of the Office

of the Governor the title of the position and a brief summary of the duties of the

position. In addition, after such a position is filled, the governor must post on the

Internet Web site all of the following: the title of the position; the name of the

individual holding the position; the salary paid to the individual holding the position

and the salary paid to the individual who previously held the position; and a brief

summary of the qualifications of the individual holding the position.
