What this bill does

Current law prohibits smoking in most indoor locations, except private
residences. Current law also prohibits smoking in public conveyance vehicles such
as buses and trains. Under this bill, smoking is prohibited in any car or other motor
vehicle in which a child under the age of 16 is present.
