What this bill does

This joint resolution requires that any bill for payment submitted to the

legislature during the 2011-13 fiscal biennium for legal and consulting services that

are performed after the effective date of the joint resolution and that relate to the

redistricting of congressional and legislative districts may not require an hourly rate

for attorney services that exceeds the rate paid to private local attorneys who

contract with the state public defender for legal services.
