What this bill does
Plain-language analysis by the nonpartisan Legislative Reference Bureau
The bill changes the date of the presidential preference primary from the 3rd
Tuesday in February to the first Tuesday in April in those years in which the
president and vice president are elected. The bill also changes the dates of related
election events to accommodate the change in the date of the primary.
