What this bill does
Plain-language analysis by the nonpartisan Legislative Reference Bureau
The 2011-13 biennial budget act (
2011 Wisconsin Act 32
) created the Special
Task Force on UW Restructuring and Operational Flexibilities to study the
University of Wisconsin System. The act appropriated $50,000 for task force
expenses during the 2011-12 fiscal year and directed the task force to submit its
report to the Joint Committee on Finance and other appropriate standing
committees of the legislature by January 1, 2012.
This bill delays the reporting deadline until January 7, 2013, and provides that
the amount appropriated may be spent over the 2011-13 fiscal biennium.
