The 2013-15 biennial budget act, 2013 Wisconsin Act 20 , eliminated statutory authority for the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection to award grants for technical education and research under the Wisconsin Grazing Lands Conservation Initiative. The purpose of the initiative is to maintain and improve the management and productivity of grazing lands.
This bill restores statutory authority for grants for technical education and research under the Wisconsin Grazing Lands Conservation Initiative and provides funding for the grants.
