Prior to the enactment of the 2013-15 biennial budget act (

2013 Wisconsin Act

20

), the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System authorized the

imposition of a student fee for support of an inter-institutional student government

organization. If imposed, the fee was mandatory, but refundable upon request of the

student.

2013 Wisconsin Act 20

prohibited the imposition of a mandatory fee to support

an inter-institutional student government organization. This bill eliminates that

prohibition.
