What this bill does

This bill requires the Department of Health Services (DHS) to award grants for
mental health crisis intervention team training for law enforcement agencies and
correctional officers. The total amount of the moneys to be awarded as grants in each
fiscal biennium is $250,000 under the bill, and DHS pays those grants from general
purpose revenue.
