This bill requires the Department of Health Services (DHS) to award grants to counties to contract with peer-run organizations to establish peer-run respite centers for individuals experiencing mental health conditions or substance abuse.

The total amount of general purpose revenue appropriated to be awarded as grants is $250,000 under the bill. For each grant awarded, DHS shall award the county an amount that is one-half the amount the county provides to contract with the peer-run organization to establish peer-run respite centers.
