What this bill does

Current law provides that the governor must appoint two student members to
the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin (UW) System and that the
governor may select the student members from recommendations made by elected
representatives of student governments at institutions within the UW System. This
bill provides that the governor shall select the student members from these
recommendations.
