What this bill does

This bill allows a probation, extended supervision, or parole agent whose
primary duty is to locate individuals who have absconded from probation, extended
supervision, or parole to go armed with a concealed firearm and to go armed in a
public building and on the premises of a tavern. This bill also requires the
Department of Corrections to provide the person with credentials and a badge and
requires the person to carry the credentials and badge while on duty.
