What this bill does

Plain-language analysis by the nonpartisan Legislative Reference Bureau

Under current law, a volunteer fire fighter, emergency medical technician, or

first responder in a city, village, or town whose annual compensation, including

fringe benefits, does not exceed $15,000 may also hold elective office in that city,

village, or town. This bill raises this annual compensation limit to $25,000.
