What this bill does
Plain-language analysis by the nonpartisan Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill eliminates the requirement for certain state agencies to submit to the
Department of Administration a plan to integrate land information to enable the
information to be readily translatable, retrievable, and geographically referenced for
use by any state or local governmental unit or public utility. The agencies subject to
this requirement under current law include the Department of Administration; the
Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection; the Department of
Safety and Professional Services; the Department of Health Services; the
Department of Natural Resources; the Department of Tourism; the Department of
Revenue; the Department of Transportation; the Board of Regents of the University
of Wisconsin System; the Public Service Commission; and the board of curators of the
State Historical Society.
