What this bill does
Plain-language analysis by the nonpartisan Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill requires the governor, in appointing the two student members to the
Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin (UW) System, to select the student
members from recommendations made by elected representatives of student
governments at institutions within the UW System. Current law allows, but does
not require, the governor to select the student members from those
recommendations.
