What this bill does

Plain-language analysis by the nonpartisan Legislative Reference Bureau

This bill creates a limited exemption from licensing requirements for certain

out-of-state ambulance service providers. Under current law, a person may not act

as or advertise for the provision of services as an ambulance service provider unless

that person holds the required Wisconsin license. This bill creates a limited

exemption from that requirement for ambulance service providers licensed in

another state that make ten or fewer patient transports per year that originate and

terminate in Wisconsin.
