This bill changes the composition of the district board for the Milwaukee Area Technical College, which, under current law, consists of the following nine members:
five employers, one school district administrator, one elected official, and two additional members. Under current law, the district boards of all other technical colleges consist of the following nine members: two employers, two employees, one school district administrator, one elected official, and three additional members.

Under this bill, the composition of the district board of the Milwaukee Area Technical College is the same as the other boards under current law.
The bill also adds three members to the appointment committee that appoints members to the district board for the Milwaukee Area Technical College. Under current law, the appointment committee consists of the county executive of Milwaukee County and the chairpersons of the Milwaukee, Ozaukee, and Washington County boards of supervisors. This bill adds the following three members to the appointment committee: the mayor of the city of Milwaukee or his or her designee; the president of the common council of the city of Milwaukee or his or her designee; and the president of the board of school directors of the city of Milwaukee or his or her designee. Under current law, three members of the appointment committee constitute a quorum. Under the bill, four members constitute a quorum.
