What this bill does

Plain-language analysis by the nonpartisan Legislative Reference Bureau

This bill requires sellers of motor vehicle fuel to place locks on each pump

capable of reading a credit or debit card. The locks must be unique to the property

on which the pumps are located; a key capable of opening a lock on one property may

not be capable of opening a lock on another property. A person who violates this

requirement is subject to a forfeiture of up to $200.
