What this bill does

Plain-language analysis by the nonpartisan Legislative Reference Bureau

Under this bill, if the Department of Natural Resources limits daytime hunting

hours in a manner that applies to the hunting of deer, bear, wild turkey, or small

game, not including pheasants and migratory birds, those limited hours must be 30

minutes before sunrise through 30 minutes after sunset. Under current law, the

hunting hours established by DNR for those animals are generally 30 minutes before

sunrise through 20 minutes after sunset, except that hunting hours for wild turkey

in the spring season close at sunset.
