What this bill does

This bill requires that each house of the legislature implement a plan that

includes policies for monitoring the workloads of legislators, including requirements

for each legislator to report the number of hours spent working in his or her official

capacity to the chief clerk of his or her house and requires the Department of

Administration to implement a similar plan with similar reporting requirements for

the governor and full-time appointees of the governor in the executive branch.

Under the bill, DOA must include aggregate data on the work hours reported by all

of those elected and appointed officials in an annual accountability report published

online. Additionally, DOA must make accessible online the work hours reported by

all of those elected and appointed officials.
