This bill requires the Department of Natural Resources to charge a reduced admission fee to state parks and DNR recreational sites for out-of-state vehicles owned by certain members of the military.
Under current law, vehicles entering state parks or DNR recreational sites are required to display an annual or daily admission receipt. Admission fees are lower for vehicles that have Wisconsin registration plates than they are for vehicles that have registration plates from other states.

This bill requires DNR to charge the lower annual or daily admission fee for a vehicle that has a plate from another state if the vehicle is owned by a member of the U.S. armed forces who is stationed in this state or who is a member of a reserve unit located in this state or if the vehicle is owned by a member of the Wisconsin National Guard.
