What this bill does

Under current law, a person who is a pharmacy student who has completed at

least two years of pharmacy studies and a person who has completed pharmacy

studies but whose application for licensure as a pharmacist is pending with the

Pharmacy Examining Board (pharmacy student) may administer a vaccine to a

person who is at least 18 years old if the pharmacy student administers the vaccine

under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and certain other requirements

are met. Under this bill, a pharmacy student may administer a vaccine to a person

who is at least six years old, provided all other current law requirements are met.
