What this bill does

Plain-language analysis by the nonpartisan Legislative Reference Bureau

This bill provides additional funding for administration of the livestock

premises registration program. Current law establishes a livestock premises

registration program, through which certain persons who keep in this state cattle,

bison, horses, goats, poultry, sheep, swine, deer, or any other kind of animal that the

Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection identifies by rule are

required to register the premises at which the animals are kept with DATCP or with

an agent that contracts with DATCP to administer the registration program.
