What this bill does
Plain-language analysis by the nonpartisan Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill repeals a provision created in
2015 Wisconsin Act 60
that requires
Milwaukee County to transfer, unencumbered, the Marcus Center for the
Performing Arts to the Wisconsin Center District (WCD). The provision specifies
that the transfer must take effect upon the adoption of a resolution requesting the
transfer by the WCD board of directors and a written proclamation of the Milwaukee
County executive supporting the transfer, notwithstanding any action taken by the
Milwaukee County board to the contrary. The transfer may take place without
county board approval.
