What this bill does

Plain-language analysis by the nonpartisan Legislative Reference Bureau

Current law generally prohibits an individual from carrying a concealed

weapon unless the individual has a license to carry a concealed weapon that is issued

by the Department of Justice. Under current law, DOJ may not issue a license to an

individual who is under the age of 21. This bill lowers the minimum age requirement

from 21 to 18.
