What this bill does
Plain-language analysis by the nonpartisan Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, when a sexually violent person is placed on supervised
release, he or she may not be placed within 1,500 feet of a school, child care facility,
place of worship, park, or youth center. This bill adds a location in which a home
school program is provided to the list of sites from which a sexually violent person's
placement must be at least 1,500 feet.
