This bill requires the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System to create two positions to advance farm succession planning programs. The first position is a specialist within the Center for Dairy Profitability to assist in the financial aspects of farm succession management. The center is part of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences of the UW-Madison. The second position is a specialist within the farm management program of the Division of Extension of the UW-Madison to assist in developing and delivering programs at the local level and focus on research, training, and joint programming with county-based agriculture educators throughout the state.
