What this bill does

Plain-language analysis by the nonpartisan Legislative Reference Bureau

This bill requires the Department of Health Services to request supplemental

funding from the Joint Committee on Finance and, if funding is received, to award

grants to develop or support entities that offer medication-assisted treatment for

substance use. The DHS appropriations may be supplemented after JCF approves

a request by DHS for the funding, and JCF is not required to find an emergency to

make the supplement.
