This bill removes the requirement under the administrative code that a provider receive prior authorization from the Department of Health Services to provide and receive reimbursement for medically necessary, specially formulated supplements and replacement products administered by feeding tube or by injection, infusion, or implantation into the body under the Medical Assistance program. The Medical Assistance program is a joint federal and state program that provides health services to individuals with limited financial resources.
