What this bill does

Under current law, a Department of Transportation or local highway

department vehicle that creates a traffic hazard by its use upon a highway may be

equipped with a flashing red or amber dome lamp or with flashing red or amber

lamps showing to the front and the rear of the vehicle. Under this bill, any of these

lamps may be green.
