What this bill does

This bill changes the threshold amount of timber sold from state, county, or

community forests at or above which certain approval and notice requirements

apply. Under current law, the approval and notice requirements apply to the sale of

timber with an estimated value of $3,000 or more. Under the bill, the requirements

apply to the sale of timber with either an estimated volume of at least 500 cord

equivalents or an estimated value of at least $10,000.
