What this bill does

This bill requires the governor to allocate at least $20 million of federal funds
made available to this state under the federal American Rescue Plan Act for the
Department of Workforce Development to do all of the following:
1. Promote and expand the availability of apprenticeship programs, focusing
on several objectives that are specified in the bill.
2. Promote and provide information on the youth apprenticeship program,
focusing on school districts that do not participate in the youth apprenticeship
program and that have lower participation rates in the program.
3. Provide additional funding for apprenticeship completion awards.
4. Bridge connections between the youth apprenticeship program and
registered apprenticeships.
