What this bill does

This bill allows certain search and rescue organizations or recovery teams that

use human remains detection canines to receive anatomical gifts under certain

circumstances. Under current law, only certain persons or entities, including

accredited medical schools for the purpose of research or education and organ

procurement organizations as custodians of a body part for transplant or therapy,

may receive anatomical gifts.
