Under current law, a licensed chiropractor may, under certain circumstances,

delegate to chiropractic technicians or certain other health care professionals the

performance of services that are preparatory or complementary to the practice of

chiropractic, including taking and preparing preliminary patient histories or

providing physiotherapy treatment. This bill allows licensed chiropractors to

delegate the performance of these services to individuals who have completed a

training program for medical assistants accredited by the National Commission for

Certifying Agencies, a national or state medical association, or another entity

approved by the Chiropractic Examining Board.
