What this bill does
Plain-language analysis by the nonpartisan Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, there is in the Department of Agriculture, Trade and
Consumer Protection an agricultural producer security council, to which the
secretary of agriculture appoints various members for three-year terms. This bill
changes the name of the organization from which a person is appointed to the council
from the “Midwest Food Processors Association, Inc.” to the “Midwest Food Products
Association, Inc.”
