What this bill does

This bill requires the Department of Health Services to award grants to each
county to match any investments made by the county in the previous fiscal year in
the recruitment, retention, mental health, trauma care and prevention, or wellness
of the county's health care, public health, child care, long-term care, and other care
provider workforce. Under the bill, grants may not exceed an amount equal to $1.11
multiplied by the county's population.
