Under current law, a proposed adoptive parent must complete 25 hours of preadoption training. Of these 25 hours, six hours must be completed in person and six hours must be targeted toward the specific needs of the child to be adopted. This bill allows adoptive parents to complete the in-person training requirements through a live videoconference.
