Under current law, no person may operate a motor vehicle upon a highway in this state unless the person possesses a valid operator's license. Additional endorsements are required for the operation of certain vehicles. An “F” endorsement authorizes a seasonal farm employee who is eligible for a restricted commercial driver license under federal law to operate certain commercial vehicles for a seasonal period not to exceed 180 days in any calendar year. This bill increases the seasonal period for an “F” endorsement to 210 days.
