This bill changes the name of the Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board to the Strengthening Families Board. Under current law, CANPB conducts various activities relating to the prevention of child abuse and neglect, including awarding grants for programs that promote public awareness, education, and services relating to child abuse and neglect prevention and administering statewide projects for the prevention of child abuse and neglect.
