What this bill does

Under current law, employees who are not paying members of a union, but who work in a workplace covered by a collective bargaining unit, are entitled to benefits collectively bargained by the labor organization for the collective bargaining unit. This bill clarifies that such employees are not entitled to benefits provided by a labor organization that are not collectively bargained.
