This bill requires the Department of Administration to establish and administer a program under which DOA awards grants to municipalities and community organizations to assist municipalities and community organizations in obtaining Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification of municipal and community buildings. LEED is a worldwide green building rating system. LEED certifications are issued by the Green Building Certification Institute.
