This bill requires the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection to create a Dairy Agriculture Resilience Investment Now grant pilot program, under which DATCP is required to provide grants to dairy producers with fewer than 1,000 head of milking cows in order for the dairy producers to undertake projects designed to improve their operational efficiency and resilience. The bill gives DATCP authority to promulgate rules to administer the program.
