What this bill does

This bill requires the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection to administer a program to provide reimbursements to eligible applicant farmers for the purchase of seed treatment that is registered for use on corn seed to discourage sandhill cranes from consuming the seed. Under the program, applicants may be reimbursed for up to 50 percent of the actual cost of the purchase of seed treatment, not to exceed $6,250 per farm, per year.
