This bill is introduced as required by s. 227.26 (2) (j), stats., in support of the action of the Joint Committee for Review of Administrative Rules in suspending emergency rule 2407 of the Wisconsin Elections Commission on July 22, 2024. The suspended emergency rule prohibited municipalities from 1) providing absentee electors with any uniform instructions for absentee voting other than those prescribed by the commission and 2) representing that any additional administrative or logistical instructions are the uniform instructions prescribed by the commission.
